A note about the family to share~

This home was built in 1929 by Max Baer, the famous boxer. The current owner, Charlie, moved into the home in 1954 and just passed away at the age of 101.5. He and his wife, Gertrude, were married 74 years when she passed. They raised five children in this home and have 13 great grandchildren.

Charlie was an artisan. There was nothing he couldn’t do with his hands. He could do plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering and many other skills that he used to remodel the home. When they moved into this home, he designed the patio and shop and was instrumental in its construction. A pool was put in soon after they moved into the home. He completed many remodel projects during the 63 years they lived in this home.

Gert loved to play the piano and ukulele and she often filled the home with her music. She was an avid golfer and won several tournaments. She was a great mother and grandmother and dedicated to her family. She spent much time in the sewing room making clothes and other items for her family.

This home reflects the true character of Charlie and Gert. Their family has many fond memories of them and this home. If the walls could talk, they would speak of many family activities, which included much LAUGHTER and LOVE.
