In 2005, Debbie’s mom, Sharon, moved in with them after the death of her husband. The majority of the antiques in the home were collected throughout my childhood during summer vacations in Oregon. My mom and grandma spent hours browsing antique shops and always came home with loads of treasures. The furniture in the home is a collection over the years, including the antique barrel chair and wagon wheel chair, which were in my great-grandparents’ home since my mom was a little girl. The clown pictures in the garage were painted by my great grandfather, probably in the 50’s or 60’s. They were the paint-by-number kits. The formal dining table was purchased recently, and when fully extended seats 14 comfortably. The upstairs master bed is a queen size sleep number bed. The gun safe in the garage belongs to me and my husband, and he is the original owner (purchased in 2003). The slot machine in the living room also belongs to me and my husband. We placed it in my mom’s home for her enjoyment because she loves going to the casinos and this was a way for her to enjoy the “ding dings” without having to travel.
My grandmother has fallen several times in this large, multi-level home, and it’s become a safety concern for them to live there. So, they’ve relocated and are downsizing accordingly. Most of the household items are being left so my mom can embrace a fresh start in the next chapter of her life. Lovingly penned by her daughter Robin Sale will run 9am-4pm Fair pricing 9am-12noon Half price (car not included) 12noon-3pm Boxlot pricing 3pm-4pm Donation and free will be going from the driveway at 4pm.
