The Kassel Home
Jack and Ann Kassel are direct descendants of German ancestry. They were raised and went to school in the San Fernando Valley, Tarzana specifically. Jack served in the Marine Corps during WWII while Ann enjoyed her position as hostess in the USO. Jack and Ann have had a very strong work ethic all their lives. Jack received a degree in Civil Engineering from UCLA after the war and worked for the California State Dept. of Transportation. When Jack received a promotion with the Dept. of Transportation, they moved to Sacramento where they designed and built this house in 1963. They have been the original owners for 54 years where they raised three beautiful children. They made many friends in the area during the years, joining many church and social groups. They loved this home and the spacious, beautiful back yard. They so enjoyed the garden and fruit trees. Ann loved to can the fruits and vegetables as she was an excellent cook and baker along with her job as receptionist at nearby St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. It has been such a wonderful property for entertaining both their friends and relatives as well as those of the children. The children enjoyed the above ground pool they had for many years. It was a great place for Jack to practice his hobby of woodworking with lots of room for all of his special tools! They did extensive traveling around the world and collected many unique souvenirs from their trips, some you may find within the estate sale. 4337 Virgusell Circle has truly been a wonderful residence for this family!
